In the IEC, our History course follows the National Curriculum and is modified to address and develop the literacy needs of new arrivals.
Each term a new topic is introduced to provide new and varied content to our students whilst addressing the development of literacy and numeracy skills that are integral to the study of history.
Our teachers have high expectations of students and will provide them with the necessary learning strategies and skills required to be successful learners in the mainstream environment.
